Perhaps you missed the point. Most 500MHz Athlons can run easily at 650 MHZ. Kind of makes you wonder what the 650s will run at, hey Yousef?, er Paul....

Steps 500s at 650 cost $248 plus $141 for the cooler = $389. Haven't looked lately but I'll bet that's a couple hundred less than a real 650Mhz...Too bad they overcharge for a cooler.
