fwiw--Brown Bros Harriman downgrades overall market outlook from N to Moderately Bearish on a 6 month basis--remaining at N on 3 month basis.---(presumably they are concerned with inventory buildup and overstocking nearterm due to y2k fears causing significant slowdown in production etc shortly thereafter).

I answered some of my own questions.
MRL's Marine 500 semi was "accepted" on 99 07 06 and set sail for Australia from S'pore.
By 99 09 24, it had already made a significant discovery of Gas in West Australia for a Chevron JV.
Its contract runs thru 2001 so, Hitting paydirt does not mean end of game for the driller.
Ramesh.

k.ramesh, I'll defer to Big Dog on towing times. However, an average 10,000 foot vertical well should be drilled and tested in 30 days... This number can vary based upon hardness (or softness- collapsed wellbores)of formations encountered, particular drilling style, and of course type of rig.....
