Michael,

I caught Jim Morgan of AMAT on CNBC this morning (he was in Hong Kong checking on the earthquake situation, guess he'd been to Taiwan already. Little damage at his subsid. there, no casualties.). He was very positive re the chip industry. He mentioned the 3 big drivers to his industry: 0.18, "new materials" (copper w/o a doubt) and 300 mm. He said that 0.18 is looking better than expected because all semiconductor segments are needing to go there...DRAM, micros, network chips, game chips, all. Guess it wasn't expected that all the segments would be going there so soon (micros and DRAM always lead). This more a report for AMAT, guess I'll see what's happening over there.

Barron's who???
