Princeton eCom Announces eChannel Initiative to Broaden Bill Presentment

09:48:28, 29 September 1999

--------------------
PRINCETON, N.J., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Princeton eCom, the leader in electronic bill presentment and payment, announced today its eChannel

Initiative program. The new program is designed to attract a broad range of
Internet channel partners who can present ebills for payment to their
audience. The goal is to deliver bills to the Internet sites where the
consumer chooses to pay their bills, thus providing more flexibility and
greater convenience. The announcement underscores Princeton eCom's ongoing

commitment to make available its presented ebills wherever the consumer chooses to pay their electronic bills, over the Internet or by telephone.
The ability to add new partners is enabled by Princeton eCom's OFX technology, a technology that Princeton eCom adopted as the easiest standard for maximum Internet interoperability. Providers without OFX may take longer to implement, but Princeton eCom stands ready to complete the process as quickly as possible.

Ron Averett, president and chief operating officer of Princeton eCom said, "Princeton eCom believes that in order for electronic billing to grow, the consumer must be offered the ability to view and pay their bills wherever they choose. To achieve this will require greater interoperability in the electronic payment business. At Princeton eCom we are doing all we can to assist the process for billers and for presenting organizations."

"Just as consumers choose where to have their paper bills delivered, Princeton eCom is seeking additional partnerships to ensure that a consumer can choose where to have their ebills delivered," added Averett.

Princeton eCom represents over 250 corporate billers, over 30 of which are seeking additional Internet access sites for their customers to view and pay their ebills. Princeton eCom can immediately offer its eChannel partners bill content from five large regional billers with an aggregate customer base of approximately 22 million. Potential partners include financial institutions, presenting consumer service providers, Internet portals, and hand held personal digital assistants. The Company also works with over 275 financial institutions to provide electronic home banking and bill payment for all of their customers. Interested partners can reach eCom at epartner@princetonecom.com

Princeton eCom is a leading provider of electronic bill presentment and payment by telephone and over the Internet.
