IP makes a big difference. For example, GMST is called a patent terrorist my some in the industry.

The article you reference was a planted one IMO. I heard sounds of cable monopolists whining. Henry received an immediate call and apology from Sony because their name was inappropriately mentioned. Character assassination is a measure of last resort. Just my commentary on an article that raised my blood pressure that day.
