IMON---picking some up on the WEBZINGER news..overlooked.

Monday October 4, 9:32 am Eastern Time
Company Press Release

SAN CARLOS,Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999-- Expanding circulation of the client edition of WebZinger 7.0 sets the stage for the launch of WebZinger On-Line at 1999 ISPCON Conference opening in San Jose, California on October 22nd.

Six weeks into the Company's first national consumer advertising campaign in support of its WebZinger 7.0 Research Engine, ImaginOn, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMON - news) today announced that advertising-driven traffic to its WebZinger Internet Web site, www.WebZinger.com, had surpassed the 500,000 hit mark, with traffic continuing to build at a rapid rate of growth. More importantly, according to ImaginOn Marketing Director Rebecca Gray, the total number of free trial WebZinger 7.0 downloads now stands at 3000, after only four weeks of availability, with an average of 138 new downloads occurring per-day since September 20th.

'We are very confident that the national consumer advertising campaign, focused on selected college and university markets, is doing its job in getting the word out to students,' Gray said today. 'On September 22nd, we recorded our busiest day yet at the www.WebZinger.com site,
with 32,000 hits and 300 downloads of the free trial WebZinger 7.0. We've increased our download capability twice since the start of the advertising campaign and we'll continue to increase it as needed. Our goal is to cost-effectively get WebZinger 7.0 into wide circulation among college and university students who need the unique feature sets offered by WebZinger 7.0, the world's
first and only completely automated, hands-free Research Engine. The advertising is succeeding in doing that.'

Underscoring this point, Gray noted that 46.3% of Web hits at the site are now coming from '.edu' domains. Another 22.2% are coming from '.com' domains and another 15% are coming from '.net' domains. The remaining 16.5% of Web hits are believed to be coming from '.org' and
international domains.

'The more WebZinger 7.0 circulates among students, the greater the likelihood becomes that it will be embraced as a very effective, very affordable research tool,' Gray continued. 'It also helps to pave the way for the launch of the on-line version of Real-time WebZinger, which will take
place later this month at the 1999 ISPCON Conference in San Jose, California.' At the 1999 ISPCON, ImaginOn will unveil its high-bandwidth Internet portal, www.imon.com, showcasing
Internet based interactive television based on ImaginOn technology. ImaginOn's www.imon.com targets small businesses and Net enthusiasts who are investing today in high speed Internet access via cable modem or DSL connections.

Unlike traditional browsers and conventional search engines, WebZinger is totally automated. It actually visits Web sites, evaluates them for relevancy, and then generates a multimedia desktop slide show that includes a picture, text, audio and video information from qualified sites. What's more, WebZinger produces formatted printable research reports and it performs all of these functions in the background, freeing up the user's computer for other tasks. WebZinger 7.0 is available at college bookstores, as well as through leading on-line software retailers, for a suggested retail price of $24.95.
