This FLC contract has been widely known/expected in the market. Shouldn't have any impact on the stock from the big boys. But then the big boys don't always know everything...do they?

If I recall correctly, the day rate is around 140,000 and moves within three tiers, depending on the water depth the rig is drilling in. But I could be off a bit on the 140,000.

Brazil is hot hot hot.

Anyone catch the name of the analyst CNBC quoted as
saying "Take money out of the oil and oil-related stocks
and put them into high tech and biotech stocks"? I want to
add him to my list of 1999 f#$^-ups. List currently
consists of:

James Cramer - I'm shorting oil (at ~$14)
Larry Kudlow - Oil prices too high (at $15). Fed should
take OPEC to court for violation of US
antitrust laws.
Charles Maxwell - I will short oil if it reaches $15

Most of these were Feb-Mar timeframe. Looks like we are
entering another period of analyst brain rot.
