BGR, the fact remains that this is precisely how dangerous asset bubbles form...by the central bank limiting it's attention to consumer price inflation. perhaps they should concentrate on a different interpretation of inflation, i.e., inflation as the increase in the money supply. that would also help to prevent bubbles from forming, as they are usually a direct result of runaway money supply growth.
