So we await Alan Greenspan tomorrow wondering if rates will be raised. IMHO the rates will stay the same. Already some analysts are talking about mid-November which is the next Fed meeting. Not much activity left for '99, Calendars are at bog.frb.fed.us
The following Greenspan speeches not only praise the techs, but last Thursday he spoke of intellectual capital being a valuable asset. Indeed, the present ways of valuing non-tech Companies property (by hard assets only) don't apply to tech and internet business models. Perhaps soon we'll be seeing some of these old rules being re-aligned to fit. If so, New Rules of calculation for actual Tech & Internet Stock Valuations could soon become the standard.
IMHO (being a bull on the technets) that's positive.

Would be interesting to see what the values for MSFT AOL
GNET INSP AREM IATV CMCSK LCOS TWX CMGI MCNS and YHOO etc. would be - if using guidelines counting proprietaries such as software development, portal designs, and actual content as intellectual capital instead of the present way.
