OK folks its the moment you all have been waiting for.....(lauging) I am going to ramble on about the reunion. There is still one story I want to share....will have to type it out later..... Happy reading, remember if you are bored.....you can always click "next" or something else to escape my rambling...(what do you expect, I am a woman!! andom copy and paste...some might be slight repeats.....bear with me. I had a wonderful time at the reunion. You know it really was several people on SI that really encouraged me, and helped me to make up my mind, and call my friend who I had not seen in almost 2 years.....and before that is was like..10 years since we seen each other. Going out with her and her significant other.....( I actually had known him since 1st grade) was sooooo comfortable. It was like we had never missed a beat...we picked up like the friendship had never lapsed. partied til 3:00a.m. Out of a class of 705 graduates...I was runner up for .....looking most like I looked in High School. (I wonder if that is a good thing.) If nothing else it confirms that I have not aged, in spite of having a husband, not to mention 4 children!!!! Everybody kept saying to me, "you did not need a name tag with your picture on it.....I would have known who you were with out the name tag...you look the same!! Even some woman in the rest room who was not at the reunion.....said to me, "your with that 20 year reunion..wow, you don't look old enough to have graduated 20 years ago." It was kinda funny because there were about 5 other women classmates in the bathroom also... I think nearly every woman there had on a black CFM dress..(including me) I was definitely not in the in crowd. but in a class of 705 kids.....there are lots of sub groups.....I believe the one I was in, was somewhere near the bottom of the barrel. One girl said to me last night.....ahhh Jane, you were a trouble maker.....I just laughed.....as did my best friend from school I must admit for not being in the in crowd.....one guy made my night.. (have not told/typed out that story yet..that is the one I will share on another post) and another guy who was as arrogant as could be in school, who I had a crush on in 9th grade and he treated me like shit back then...was totally indignant the night of the reunion that I had no clue who he was.....LMAOthe previous reply to me Yeah, we had lots of sub-groups in HS too. Let's see...there were the stoners, surfers, rednecks (called themselves "The Buzzards. LOL!), jocks, geeks, ROTC, nerds, and "invisible people". I was mostly invisible, with a little bit of jock (Varsity Tennis), and a touch of geek. :*) That reaction from the guy you didn't remember was great! And what's this about a troublemaker? What did you do!! <gg>MY reply I was probably in the "stoners" group early on in high school. In senior high, I was probably more invisible than I was anything else. My senior year was really difficult...my dad was in and out of the hospital most of that year.....with radical cancer surgeries. Family illness is something lots of people our age have still yet to deal with.....(lucky them!!) The guy that was shocked I did not know him...I bet he thought that after all these years I would still be pining over him. And I honestly had NOOOOO clue who he was. My friend and I were standing there.....and she is talking to him.....and me...like I knew who he was.....finally right in front of him......I said..as I pointed to him....WEll, who is he??? Gosh I would have loved to have had a picture of the dismay in his face!! I promptly turned and introduced him to my Husband of 15 years...LOL (what a bitch I can be!!) I was a trouble maker in that I really just did not care about school. It was no challenge. I did not have to work to pass. I was bored. I missed the "challenge" program by a 1/2% I did not know the word "belfry". Which shocked my mom because my favorite game is and was Scrabble. Now I will never forget that word. My reunion was very "stuffy"...My reunion was stuffy in atmosphere...it was in the ball room of a large hotel. All the women had on black CFM dresses.....but most of the others now had blond hair.....go figure...tons more blonds at the reunion than there were in high school. Stuffy compared to a picnic style reunion. But I was not inhibited by the atmosphere!!! I repeat...... I had a BLAST
