Wayne, DCA investors take great comfort from the fact that crashes and severe bear markets are rare events but what they should recognize is that they are preceeded by booms with the attendant excesses in valuation and debt. The conditions are right for a bear market of historic proportions it is only a question of when. The bigger the boom the bigger the bust. Mike

Ah Wayne, you make it sound so easy! If, however, forecasting short term market gyrations were as simple as turn the weather channel on, we would all be very, very rich. The collective frustation of short term pootsters in this and the Myth thread tells me otherwise, though. <VBG>
