I totally agree with you. The Idea of AMD destroying Intel are fallacious at best. AMD just needs a little bigger piece of the
ever growing pie. High end/profit margin preferred.

As far as net volumes. No one thinks AMD can challenge Intels volumes. Then again AMD doesn't need to. They just need to increase volume steadily on the chips with the larger profit margins...they have the opportunity.

PS...saw a nice Compaq Athlon mo'chine in Costco today. One K6-2 and the rest Celerons. NO P-IIIs. Hummmm
