Richard

As Carl stated and I stated earlier, a denial of the news seems to be the important missing link???

The Samsung articles still don't point us to a direct link of any official announcements from Samsung. Doesn't it seem strange that Samsung didn't make an official announcement? Maybe the VP made a mistake which is why an official wasn't given?

Do you actually believe this, or are you just blowing smoke?

There probably won't issue a press release on this, unless to deny it if it were false. In the real world companies don't conduct business by press release (although this thread seems to elevate their significance to epic proportions). I expect that in the 24 hours before Avo's interview he and his people contacted 5 or 10 dram users and made certain that there was high demand for Sdrams and they've already informed the users that mass volumes will be coming.

By the way, this is a windfall for Samsung. Most drams are shipped under contract with prices fixed. For Samsung to be able to convert large capacity over to sdram at a time of shortages allows them to negotiate high prices. They will be raking in the bucks. This is why I have no doubt that the interview was correctly reported.
