After years and years of this propaganda about the supposed superiority of CDMA especially in dealing with data, if you go out to the marketplace, you will find that it has been all hype.

If CDMA is such crap, why do you have QCOM listed as one of your favorite stocks (of 2) in your profile?

But what would really give me a chuckle is if there were a GSM based packet data technology deployed somewhere (Europe?)

Refreshing to see that someone else has noticed that none of the current wireless data offerings (except PHS) match CDPD.

The GSM version of CDPD is called GPRS. It will be launched commercially in Europe in the spring.
