Amots, my biggest bets are in those three: GOLD, DROOY and HGMCY...
they have performed extremely well since i bought them. but looking at the Johannesburg Gold Index, i'm willing to hang on to them for a while longer...while the index has gained some 90% or so from it's lows, i know from my time in SA that it tends to rise to a level of 2,500 or so in a major up cycle for gold. that means the bulk of the possible gains probably still lies ahead. what's more, i bought these stocks really at their very lows...so the dividend yield is quite high for me. i'll ride out the ups and downs, since the current cycle has a lot further to go imo. it is funny that a deafening silence has broken out w/regards to the hedge funds likely to have suffered major losses in the recent melt-up. considering the way these funds leverage their investments one would expect a major liquidity drain for paper assets to be in the works. no change in the Fed's bias would be a major hint imo....
