George, my feeling is that these are two sides of the same coin, so to speak. Your key -- the OSX ignoring negative news -- in my view is one way of looking at market sentiment and psychology. TA indicators, whether Gary's E-waves, or the divergences I like to use, or any number of other measures, are also methods for gauging market sentiment and psychology.

I'd guess that the OSX will start ignoring negative news at about the same time the E-waves start to show an interim bottom and the bullish divergences start to appear.
