I have to say this sums up my gut reaction to the merger and subsequent market action. My sense is a lot of the selling was done by people who expected an out-and-out legal victory for GMST (ala QCOM) and who were fond of GMST's lean business model.

There's no doubt but that in the short run this will affect GMST's profit margins and weigh down their balance sheet. But in the long run, this seems like a good deal if they can combine the two companies well (which isn't an easy task given that they haven't exactly been friends).
