Really? I am concerned that it is a bit of a wild card.

The best scenario would without a doubt AT&T gets really worried and decides to out bid both Worldcom and BSC and buys Sprint.Worldcom could then buy SBC later merge with the next star which would be Nextwave and every thing would be CDMA.Intrestingly AT&T announced it is considering spinning off its wireless division.

Keith,

<< I think this move would force BLS to do a CDMA2000 overlay on their TDMA infrastructure >>

How about their GSM-1900 infrastructure here, and GSM-900 abroad I think, and don't they have TDMA infrastructure in Latin America. Technology Soup <g>.

<< isolate ATT as the last TDMA carrier in the US >>

Don't forget SBC.

Its a crazy M&A world out there.

Technology outcomes will be interesting after the dust settles.
