The analyst at DLJ said "it's time to get back in the stock".
It sounds positive to me.
A few notes on the segment:
1. There are $7+ Billion worth of coins out there.
2. 8.9% fee. Why do people want to pay the fee vs. going into
the bank?? The CEO said it's time vs. money.
3. CSTR has more coin machines out there than CHNG.
4. It's shortage of coins & summer time that caused the earnings
below expectations.

Good luck to all.

Field, the CNBS report wasn't that bad at all. Not a home run whereby you would turn on the computer at 2 AM and place an order for the next day, but very fair and informative. Here are salient facts:

1) CNBS reporter: "Idea is catching on..."
2) Cash flow of $100M projected for FY99
3) Over a 2-year period, users returned 10 to 12 times (pretty good repeat business IMO)
4) $1.7B worth of change processed (equates to $128M revenue based on previous 7.5% rate - simple math here)
5) $7.7B worth of change out there in circulation (that's 22% of the market they've cornered)
6) 6000 machines at average cost of $12.5k/unit
7) Competition only has 50 - 60% of their placement (fuzzy notes)
8) Stock in analyst's "show me" state due to surprise (they didn't like it)
9) Company is learning how to better manage (8)
10) "They have a better handle of this coming into 4Q" DLJ analyst
11) "Time to get in now" DLJ analyst.

Good luck to all.
