I'm with Carmac on this one. Market makers are just another party trading the market. You have to learn how they work and what the rules are, then live with it. They are not evil incarnate, they are just part of the environment. Fair? Who told you anything was fair? Competition in business is usually fairly cut-throat when you boil it down, in trading it's just sometimes not hidden quite as much.

Daytraders are just another form of market maker, and we don't have nearly as many rules to live by. Enjoy!

Hi Cormac; I'm wondering if you could put a few more words into explaining what you mean by: I trade the traders first, the traders reaction to the market second and last but not least I trade the market.

Just enough to give me a glimmer of what it means, I know that explaining it to my satisfaction is beyond hope...
