So when they see it weak before earnings they worry that the top has passed already. I think it's dumb to expect a pattern to repeat itself indefinately. This pattern has its roots in the past when the insider-selling window reopened after earnings, and the smart money pulled in bids until the window closed. Now any insider selling is not meaningful supply compared to the float.
