Dear TTP:

You might want to check what other (probably more well informed analysts) have to say about Microstrategy.

I think with this report, you could put to rest any doubts about MicroStrategy being a "CONSULTING" company.

NIGEL PENDSE REPORTS:
MicroStrategy Ranked #1 Fastest Growing Business Intelligence Company

A Q2 1999 comparison of MicroStrategy's absolute growth rates with those of other Business Intelligence specialists by Nigel Pendse, lead author of The OLAP Report, reveals that MicroStrategy's market share and position have improved every year, an achievement unmatched by other vendors.
License fees are one of the best measures of the health of a software company, and Charts 1 and 2 show that the public Business Intelligence specialists have very different trends in this regard.

Chart 1 indicates that for Q2 of 1999, MicroStrategy's quarterly license fees grew 91% to $31 million. Chart 2 indicates that quarterly revenue was up 92% to $45.6 million and quarterly net income was up 241% to $3.2 million. MicroStrategy's revenue for the last 12 months was up 87% to $144m and annual net income was up by an even more impressive 2268% to $9.8 million.

Bottom-line: MicroStrategy is currently recording the best growth of any Business Intelligence provider and the fastest improving market share. MicroStrategy's results demonstrate a definite demand for systems that can proactively deliver highly personalized information to the many users who do not have the time or training to assemble it themselves from multiple disparate data sources.
