Actually, I'd bet one could figure out the physiological make-up of the average market maker, age, weight, etc...then come up with the average human digestion time for that physical profile...then figure that they almost always eat lunch between 11:30 and 1:00...and you'd come up with a bell-curve graphing the moment-to-moment likelihood of...trading floor 'evacuation.'

Then, we could stalk those somewhat active stocks for news when, at the peak of the curve, those issues will be unguarded (or monitored by college interns) while our friends are likely to be, er, "dropping the kids off at the pool."

I'd better patent that quick. Hedge funds, here I come.

Maybe that is something we should try to develop a prediction model for. If we can pinpoint the first trip - maybe by erratic behavior of the MM, then develop a formula to predict the next trip. For a 50 year old guy maybe 2 hours but a 30 year old woman maybe 4 hours. How far is the bathroom? Is he/she a coffee drinker? Maybe we can develop a whole new TA tool.
