well, finally i have two high speed internet connected computers. it took about 6 hours and four different ms support techs to get me up and running. the biggest problem was getting win98 to autoconfigure the ip addresses correctly. the trick was to disable one of the ethernet cards to get the local network running first. after that, the rest was a piece of cake.

p.s. the ultra dma disk drive is so slow compared to the scsi in my old computer. i was planing to switch drives but all the pci slots are now used on the hp8560c.
