eCode.com's Free Service and Innovative Features Help People Stay in Touch

The eCode concept was born in 1997, when Rohit Chandra returned from a tradeshow with stacks of business cards that needed to be entered into his contact database. He imagined thousands of show attendees sitting at their desks entering the same information, only to have the information become out of date in a matter of months. Chandra decided there had to be a better method for keeping in touch.

The result was eCode.com, a service that has quickly become the Internet's hub for contact information. Each member chooses a unique, permanent online user ID called an eCode. Connected with the eCode is all of the contact information the member chooses to provide. Members use their eCodes to create graphical online business cards called WEB cards and self-updating address books. Members update their information as needed, and the address books of their contacts always stay up-to-date.

eCode.com provides a wide and ever-expanding range of compelling applications for eCode members. These applications include: AutoLogin(TM), a tool that automatically logs Internet users onto Web sites; AutoFiller(TM), a utility that automatically fills out Web forms with your contact information; and instant driving directions and maps from MapQuest.com (Nasdaq: MQST).
