We are talking about both. With larger die, the total will go down and the % will go down.

Look at it this way. Assume you have 100 defects randomly spread about a wafer. If there are 1000 die then your yield will be a little above 900 good die or 90%. If you have 200 die on your wafer then your yield will be around 100 good die, or 50%. So with larger die both your total good die and your percentage go down.
