The SSE related numbers are pure games. I would like to think that someone like PB would not put his credibility on line for this kind of numbers.

At least they didn't a couple of months back. If my memory serves me right, the Athlon numbers we have so far are from Intel's compiled code using PIII optimizations. Ah, the advantages of having deep coffers.

Yup, I am keenly aware of that situation. All across the industry, marketing guys and management love to compare their own pre-production platforms with competitions production platforms. But, I have been in this industry long enough to only compare shipping material.
