No, the point there larry is that whoever was selling boxed shares was simply lowering the profit from their original short. Say they'd shorted at $8, covered at $6, then sold again at $5. The effect is the same as if they'd shorted at $7.

Frankly, for this stock, especially at this point in time, shorting isn't so smart. Go figure. There will be winners, and there will be losers.

I believe Valence will be the winner, and CC will have walked away from a golden opportunity to make money on the long side, because they are myopically following a nickel-and-dime hedge fund strategy. No, I don't see any reason to revere their investing acumen...
