Tomas, <killing civilians> I think if the situation is that bad we're going to see some UN intervention. Interesting how both sides are appealing to the UN, "The U.S. considers Sudan a sponsor of terrorism and has subjected the country to U.S. economic and military sanctions. Sudan denies the accusations and says it will not reestablish diplomatic representation until the U.S. apologizes and give compensation for the pharmaceutical plant bombing. Sudan says it wants the U.N. Security Council to send a mission
to Khartoum to investigate U.S. accusations". Full Story: sudan.net

Tomas and all, Here's a good article which was posted by Goldteck on TLM Yahoo thread. <"This past week a New York City council committee held hearings on whether the city
should cut all ties to companies doing business in Sudan, which would include its 186,000 pension fund shares of Talisman. (No decision was taken.) But some analysts say Talisman's work in Sudan will help local citizens because more scrutiny will be brought to bear on the country now that a major Western oil company is working in the region".>

With no known fund managers officially committed to the divestment campaign, my guess is that the recent volatility in TLM is a reflection of the recent oil price slump. (Razor , bull's-eye, looks like you were right on target). With this in mind, however, latest news may indicate a reversal.
