jw, it's probably a screen saver you downloaded. Did you?
I had one that had a mind of its own once. I would look
under 'add/remove programs' to see if it shows up there.Or, if you have Norton System Works, its installation may have
been monitored by 'clean sweep'.

If it is a screen saver that came with Windows I'm stumped,
unless you didn't hit 'apply' after selecting 'none'.
