Cm,

Well I am glad we got that $100 stuff out of the way so we can get back to business. BTW, I am not sure that the subway series will materialize but I would like to thanks those Ranger boyz from Texas for coming up here and throwing batting practice to Bernie Williams last night. The Yankees need to keep sharp going into the World Series but I think if that Ranger pitching staff can't get it together the Yanks murderers row lineup might have to resort to something more challenging. T-Ball maybe?

With most of the office over at the World Wrestling Federation Roadshow lunch at the St Regis, I thought I would take a minute to bring our favorite story up to speed. Although Bulldozer mentioned management was in N'Orleans for a wireless conference recently they apparently made a swing thru Boston too.

Which begs the question, what about Denver?

----------

The company's focus remains Enhanced Service Platforms, which today primarily supports voicemail, but which are able to support emerging applications as well. Software will continue to improve as a part of the mix, driving gross margins higher over time. The company will attempt to dominate emerging enhanced services much like they dominate carrier based voicemail systems. About 75% of current sales are to digital wireless providers. The wireless guys are of course seeing strong subscriber growth and CMVT is seeing lots of bidding activity. Asian sales started to pick up in the spring and might account for 20% of revenue in the 3Q.

Although I will back off bashing Mr. Verwaayan, it does not appear that LU is making any headway in this space, and unfortunately, it is very possible several long-time LU customers are considering or have already started Forklift upgrades of their LU/Octel platforms and are/will be buying gear from Kobi. Still, the majority of revenue is coming from existing customers. Anyone looking for a good deal on a used system might want to call Ben at (908) 582-8500. Tell Ben NN sent you. I am trying to patch things up with him.

The company is comfortable with current estimates (but lets whisper!) and we have seen a few people roll out estimates for the fiscal year ending January 2002, which is pretty much calendar 2001, and the magic EPS number is coming in around $3.00. Which, IMO, means that they could put up $3.40 to $3.60 a share that year. Hmmm...will the company still be independent by then?

I have to go now because the braintrust just rolled in with bags of goodies from the WWF roadshow. I already snagged a license plate frame that sez "I JUST WHOOPED YOUR ASS" but I really want the "Stone Cold" Steve Austin T-Shirt which has "Do you want to raise hell" on the front along with his picture and on the back of the shirt it sez "HELL YEAH". Lots of other good stuff in the bag as well.

Put me in for a 10% order.
