100k Share cross @ $3 Sprott

If CY becomes the largest ISP in Canada paid or not the advertisers will want in bigtime.

This will move the stock also a big player may just buy them out.

Thank you, Info, for the answer, even if you were rude. Here's the exact quote:

"Paul Mercia: We are shooting for the end of September. The alliance now that we have with Call-Net [T.CN] is great. They bring so much to the table that other groups who have approached us couldn't. For example, their experience of providing an online service coast to coast. As far as the back end goes, I could say we can launch two weeks from now, especially with the experience Sprint already has and with the infrastructure they already have in place. Our problem has been in building the 3web server infrastructure. We are talking about a system that is going to handle half a million households right off the bat and, putting it together is a huge build on the part of the company that we go with."

He says "We are shooting for the end of September" and then goes on to explain the problems involved. This is an estimate, a probable launch date. He probably wishes he hadn't said it, given the way it is dwelt upon by nervous nellies. I can't believe how impatient some of the so-called "longs" on this thread are. Give the company a break. This is a huge project - if they get it done this fall, I would say they are doing pretty well. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will Toronto be.

The link on 2179 "interview" was not the only place that a September launch was mentioned. What was also mentioned was earnings for NEXT fiscal year of approx $1.20. I'm going back to about the spring. Can anyone else recall this? Are we "ME" becoming to fixated on This Sept launch thing. Well for anyone who is long a few years I recall a 3web launch for Toronto promised in 1997. I'm still waiting. Is a Fall/1999 launch likely for TO. I'm sure it is, but I'd hate to wait till Dec 21 for the launch. Xmas is important to advertisers. For every week delayed, I'd hate to guess how much ad $$$ is being lost. If I'm not mistaken the Xmas season starts in the next couple of weeks. Correct me if I'm wrong!
I for one feel that it is important for a company to meet it's estimates... be it earnings or launch dates.
