JG, Bollinger Bands are real reliable

I like them esp since they provide outer limits for extreme oversold and overbought situations... they are essentially 95% confidence limits on daily prices, using standard deviation widths

they are tremendous for buying stock on low end, selling stock on high end... we actually touched a few times upon top and bottom turns this spring and summer... I think we lingered right on it for days in July... very reliable and profitable signal to exit or enter options

when BBands start to converge, we got seriously reduced volatility... that is all you can pin down with certainty... but the last few times we saw tightening in BB, a torrent of buying was unleashed... my gut tells me it is a sign of imminent "breakout"... very much consistent with the notion of reduced volume upon retest of lows when establishing a shorterm bottom base

I like tight bands on a bottom without stretch marks or cellulite... tight and firm... there I go again

I smell coffee brewing at table 197
look for a lingering few hours there... psych as follows:
shorts who bought there will be covering
longs who abandoned there will be buying back
