Unfortunately the NEA is like sin: easy to access, impossible to get rid of once you do.

That's precisely the point about the NEA; it is NOT
impossible to get rid of. It's the easiest thing in the world to stop funding it.

That's why I look at it as a bellwether of the true intent of the party in control. If they can't even knock off this piece of low hanging fruit, can they really want to???
