They should be able to debut the single x64 next year - 2001 sure sounds like sandbagging to me.

Obviously 2001 for dual x64 seems reasonable.

This is a smart low risk strategy.

AMD can be selling 64 bit machines while Intel fumbles with further coppermine combinations till willamette.

And if nobody wants it a dual 32 bit machine should be a screamer anyway and give willamette a run for its money in 2001.

Also 800Mhz part manufactured at Dresden - how can this be.

I thought Dresden had no chance of building anything till Q1-2 2000.

I love the strategy, sure hope the execution stays great too.
