teflon,

let me just jump in for a second...

if gmst is a steal at this price in 5 years,,,then,,,fine and dandy....

we know that gmst will probably head lower because that's just how the market plays this game.

so,,,one can either buy now and ignore,

buy later at a higher price when things stabilize, and ignore,

or one can wait for a few weeks for the dust to settle,,,then buy at whatever price,,then ignore.

whatever one chooses,,,we KNOW that gmst isn't going to make any new highs for some time....the analysts are out pumping because they're a bit desperate.

of course,,,all my opinions.

good luck..
mike

Teflon,

I think that's a pretty good example, but I think the issues of the TVGuide debt, assimilation of corporate culture, etc. bring the uncertainty up a notch or two.

Also Lehman is trying to have it both ways. I recall reading that they believed long term the litigation was not going to be an issue for GMST and now they're saying...whoa, big relief, the litigation is out of the way. Smooth sailing ahead. Maybe so, but what's the true cost to GMST?

Wrong fellas, the stocks you have mentioned were not Quasi-Monopolies, that is where most are missing the boat. HOUSES LOVE MONOPOLIES! You will see. Like I said $68 should be the low.

Cheers,

Voltaire

Tef, I agree w/ both you & Voltaire. CNET not a monopoly as GMST might be...but whenever there is the opportunity for momentum trading on a stock that's getting attention, it happens. And as you said the institutions want to pick up bargain basement shares. They know it's going up and they want to maximize profit. Therefore drive the price down--and for all I know shorting, & options playing at the same time--and then pick up on the cheap before letting it rise like helium balloon. Q has been manipulated like that.
