Bruce,

Thanks for looking at GumTech and for providing the EPS and RS data from IBD. I didn't expect that the EPS data would be very good since they lost money last year. I'm still curious if Mr. O'Neil would give a nod up for revenue growth, especially since their loss is decreasing. I agree that it would be better if they were already profitable, but the profits should come soon from two new major products that they are launching. One is Zicam, a cold remedy that has been shown through initial clinical research to reduce the duration of the common cold to 1.5 days, and the other is nicotine gum that will compete with Nicorette worldwide.

Best of luck with GTNR and thanks again for your comments.

Dan

Bruce..... concerning TOPP... check this:

Mr. Shorin concluded, ''The entertainment segment also experienced significant sales growth in the second quarter due to the successful launch of our new Pokemon collectible trading cards and the international roll-out of Star Wars sticker/album collections. Our activities in this segment year-to- date are consistent with the Company's strategy of exercising greater selectivity when pursuing entertainment licenses. Distribution of Pokemon cards began during the last week of the period, and contributed approximately $7 million in net sales and $0.05 of net earnings per share in the second quarter. We are excited to participate in such a dynamic property and continue to receive positive feedback from the trade as to sell-through. We plan to introduce the first of our Pokemon lollipop products in November.''

Separately, the Company stated that it has signed a worldwide, multi- year license agreement to produce trading cards and other products featuring Marvel Super Hero Universe characters, including The X-Men and Spider-Man, as they appear in Marvel comics and in any upcoming motion pictures or television shows. The agreement grants Topps the rights to other product categories, including sticker/album collections and confectionery items.

TOPP made .21 vs .06 (250% increase)

Pokemon cards were only on sale for "1" week BUT CONTRIBUTED
$.05 net (if I'm reading this right).... seems to indicate phenom eps to follow into the holidays....

amazing growth stats for a company with a PE=13
