The GUMM stock fraud

It seems that every year there is a shill or group of shills who think that they are just a little bit smarter than I am or that they will discredit me by taking a few of my picks that may be going in the wrong direction in the short term, and trying to use that as some lame "proof" that I am wrong about their pet stock.

In October 1998, Gary Reed gleefully pointed out the following:

>>>COST down 6.3% (billy said go long)
>>>DTLN down 3.3% (billy said #1 short)
>>>Dow Jones down 4% (billy can't even keep up with the market)
>>>Guess we'll call you "Wrong Way Bill Wexler." Time to re-name your thread!

Much to Gary's dismay however, over the next 6 months COST proceeded to ramp up about 45 dollars while DTLN fell to pieces.

A fan emailed me this interesting post from the Yahoo GUMM thread...

I want everyone to bookmark this post, because I promise we'll be revisiting the longer term performance of NVLS vs. GUMM.

In the meantime I reiterate my STRONG BUYS on my three faves...

AOL
CLIC
NVLS

and reiterate my STRONG SELL/SHORT SELL on GUMM

OT: The Kalapaki beach report.

Weather was a bit overcast today with rain late in the day. Got some snorkeling in at Poipu beach.
