Well guys and gals, what the hell is going on. I go away for about a week for my son's wedding and the stock has picked up, Ken Appleskier and Rocky Fartskier have gone long on IOM, and who knows what else. I blame all this on Sheila. I missed my chance to buy more at $3. Shame on you Rock-a-titti, you messed up. I guess I'll have to live with what I have got.

The hidden message is someone knows something we don't know. It's as simple as that. I suspect that sales are looking up as s. bateh says, and its making an impact.

By the way, for those that remember, got exciting results with my tech for DNA chips. GeneTAG Tech is on its way.

Cheers, David S.

Re: time to kick IOM again: PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999-- Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM) will be discussed by Marc Cohodes, of Rocker Partners Tuesday, October 5, 1999, at 4:15 PM EDT on the weekly RadioWallStreet show "Facts From The Other Side of The Tracks."<

So my guess is that at least as far as Cohodes is concerned he probably hasn't covered his short, why else host a bashing of IOM ? Further if prevailing sentiment of the bears is being expressed by Cohodes then there would have been very little short covering today.

Also interesting here is if ( as been reported by TMF board ) Emerald Research has stopped coverage ( of the leader in removable storage, huh! ) due to Crocker's assessment of a murky future it hasn't seemed to have made any difference to the stock price at least as far as today's action, it appears that someone else has picked up the flag. I don't believe that today's buying was retail, the small guys have been getting creamed by those short all year.

Could the real reason why Emerald Research dropped coverage is due to their close association or appearance of association with Cohodes thus were spurned by Dunn, his ( Dunn's ) public statement to Crocker that he would not be selling any of his shares was offensive in nature. Could the disassociation with Emerald be a perquisite by SSB. In any case it sure would have been nice to have had the 3 cents or so on the bottom line instead of hidden in an inventory markdown, for the short term and heck we long timers deserve a short term something one of these days.
