Dear Len,
The 603 laws that Jesus taught and lived as an example for us all to follow they consider to be dead. They pick and choose what they keep. According to their theology Dueteronomy 28 is still in effect for it is the punishment of Jews and all the promises of a future reign of the Messiah has been fulfilled and is dead. Loving all people is a good place to start to keep the 613 laws.
Dueteronomy 6
4: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Yeshua completed it like this;
Matthew 22
37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38: This is the first and great commandment.
39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40: On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Isn't it amazing that he taught on laws that are not part of the 10 that the Churches accept. Yeshua knew the importance of the Shema.
Have a great week,
Nancy
