Hardy Boy: Why did MSFT get singled out as the stock most threatened by a tightening bias because smart guys like you shorted it. Give it time and we will all enjoy the upswing as the shorts cover. People short INTC and MSFt because they havethe float and you can't get squeezed too badly. I am sure you were the first guy to get your order off as the shorts ran for the door. Where do we find such men? JFD

James, Good trade on MSFT. Things are about to start moving up very soon on MSFT so i would think it is a bad idea to hold onto MSFT short positions. I played the market long today and came out well ahead but am unwilling to assume short positions on companies like MSFT leading into an earnings period. Maybe just after earnings, it may be a good short although i am not going to try it.
IMHO, we are on our way up today. The late day rally to neutral territory tells a lot more than the early morning rally into positive territory. Too much money on the sidelines for bargain hunters to let a selloff pick up steam. Not good shorting conditions, IMHO.
The real correction happened leading upto the October.

Good Luck.
