Hello Bill. I have not read Frank's post yet, but I think I know what he is saying. gg. I will read the posts after I send this post away. Just making sure that I send it away while I am able to do so. More at the end.

I agree that this tightening bias is a lot of BS. I am sure it's only there to appease some who thought there should be a rate hike or maybe just to confuse the whole market. Larry Kutlow was for a tightening as long as you go for a tightening bias. I guess the gold and stuff got to him. gg. He thought that the FED should NOT be in the business of confusing investors, since it's our money they are playing with and not the FEDs.

But the one thing I DO NOT agree with is as long as you go to a tightening bias you may as well go ahead and raise rates. The assumption that it does create a worry factor and therefore it is better to raise rates than calling for a tightening bias is more BS IMO. gg. I'd rather worry about a rate hike later than having it implemented at this time. And maybe by the next time there is more evidence on what the economy will do a bit further out. I am still of the opinion: Don't fix it if it ain't broke. Again: I'd rather have a little uncertainty than have things messed up if it turns out that it is not necessary to raise rates. Besides, it will give businesses more time to operate with lower interest rates in the meantime, even if a rate hike will come later on.

Don't get caught up in this theory that it is better to put a whammy on now rather than later!

The market came back nicely after it thought about things.

Maybe your low WAS reached today. The nets did well.

Even WCOM ended up better. I am getting close of buying more at these prices.

No. I have not left for the Outer Banks yet. Anytime between Thursday and Sat. We are not quite sure yet. Waiting for one of our friends work schedule.

I have quite a bit of trouble with my telephone the last cpl of days. It keeps going out and then, of course, my internet is out also. I am surprised it has been working for sev. hours without interruption.

Bill. Well. I read all the posts. gg. Even Frank's post was not there. I guess you are talking about a prev. post of his or you also remember what his stance is on the bias.

Bill. Where are you? Take some credit for your market call. gg. The DOW had a great move yesterday. Let's hope it will do so again today.

Europe did not raise their interest rates either. Analysts are beginning to see it my way. A lot of them are now saying: Probably better to have the threat of a rate hike than actually having one. gg.

Are you still only holding LU? In any event, it's up again today.
