Dan,

And from the same url, here is this one.... It is safe to say that TJ did not consider himself a Christian when he wrote this...... I am not posting this in order to disparage Christianity. I don't think the fate of Christianity hangs in the balance of weather or not TJ believed. I just post it to point out what the founding fathers thought, and to dispel the pretension that this is a Christian country. It is a country that is predominantly inhabited by Christians. There is a Fundamental difference.

"And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors."

-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823

It is interesting that your site url is called "freethinkers" when actually it should be called "freethinkers.....as long as you are anti-Christ and believe as we do" society.
