1970 was thirty years ago; intc made some right moves and AMD some wrong ones....they are still competitors but AMD is certainly not intc's size nor has its clout.

And yes, the game is always changing. No one can ever afford to get complacent and that includes intc. intc's past does not insure its future and AMD's mistakes may actually lead to its renaissance. Anything is possible.
