No, Adams was, I believe, a Unitarian at best, and a deist at worse. Thus in no normal sense a Christian (unless Christianity is far more virulent and infectious than I believe.) He was also a cringing monkey. Jefferson sent the Navy (and Marine Corps) in and kicked Tripoli's ass. "Millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute!"
