CS happens to be on one of the stocks I follow, primarily cuz of Wicked's focus...noticed how strong CS remained while the DOW was pulling back, thought it was only a matter of minutes for CS. risk/reward...didn't think CS would cross 18 and better chance to retrace to 15 level as it has tested several times of recent, and with CS gains today, an opp. for greater return, with less risk on the pullback. Again, don't short, learning, and would short only stocks I'm accustomed to trading. Call me crazy, my perspective saw an opportunity for a short, and with experience, maybe would have made a quick 3/8-1/2 point, resulting in a nice profit on 500-1000 shares. yes, plenty of short opps., however, feel better shaving stocks 'm familiar with. And it's hard not to get a feel for how CS trades as close as I follow this thread. As far as buyout, the sector as a whole is prepared for consolidation, CS, if bought out, fantastic, especially for those here on the Wicked. I don't buy long term takeover plays, and do not hold the same sentiment as an imminent buyout, maybe it'll happen today or a month or two from now, maybe never, I don't know and would rather play the rumor, and praise those here who held through thick and thin with congrats once it happens. Recently traded ATHM, and saw a short opp yesterday and the day before...ATHM could be argued to a have a better chance of a new alliance than CS...however, that would not have prevented me from making the trade, given the circumstances for the day. mental stops for this kid...
