Hi Ali Chen; Ground bounce for a chip with 16 or 18 outputs that are nominally putting out 60mA must be pretty cute. I would hope they had that modeled, maybe VRef is used to eliminate it.

My guess for stuff that missed simulation is noise pickup. Those long lines, threading between RIMM and motherboard ground planes.
