Hi BP, I don't know the first thing about MU. I think the first rule is to be extremely comfortable with the fundamentals. Thus over on the G&K thread, you pick companies with a very secure history and/or future...

Was just my opinion anyway--I think you have the right idea about GMST--

MU is essentially a manufacturer of commodity. Some twist, but mostly so. It was hyped up to Wazoo by some (imho) irresponsible analysts, and gained from a special situation with Korea.
If you think GMST is in a parallel situation to MU '95, then you should _not_ even think of investing in it. Otherwise why even bring up MU(or in other words, you might as well bring up BRE-X or ZZZZZZBest etc. ).
Having said that, your reasons for selling are well taken. As they say, if youre gonna panic, panic early. You still got out at a good price point, rather than take a big loss after mulling over it. Best luck...

bp,

<< Buy and hold isn't always the best way to invest >>

Each investor chooses his (or her) own strategy and implements his (or her) tactics.

I do long overly intensive DD an am a buy and hold type, but when I pull the trigger I pull it fast, and don't worry about entry point.

You were uncomfortable with yesterdays decision. You sold.

However ...

You have placed an unusual amount of posts examining your own tactic.

I might suggest you sit back an relax and not fret ... do DD on another equity ... continue DD on this one ... come back and buy this one 20 points higher or lower, or stay invsted elsewhere. At the end of the day, if GMST is worthwhile, near term entry point won't matter.
