(To All, Has anyone else noticed the similarity of the name Itanium to Iridium? Could this be Intel's little satellite that couldn't? Hope so. <g> )

The name is a hope that enough heat sinking can be applied that it will only tan, rather than burn. -g-

Regards, Don

MB, >>similarity of the name Itanium to Iridium

You are now having late night fantasies. I need to look at the specs...it better be at a minimum comparable in hardware components to the G4 or it is history. By this I mean register count, vector processors, word size, streaming, multi parallel ports, etc. It looks to me like the next GX will have memory on board the processor. Just a guess of mine for the next step. BTW, this should be good for Micron... another late evening fantasy.

What do you think of HAL's announcement and subsequent drop? Are the HAL sirens calling your name?
