Alan, Agreed! It is interesting that no mention of high lease rates or huge short positions have been published about silver. Just checked the committment of traders reports tonight and there is a very large short positon in silver according to kitco lease rates are high on silver as well as the other metals.

Technically silver needs to break above 5.83 and stay there for three days, but I still think silver's move will make gold's look tame. Not that the gold move was not fantastic, it is just that silver will really fly IMO.

What will really get things going is when mom and pop go to the local coin dealer in their city and buy a few coins just in case "y2k" might be a problem. After studying CPM latest silver survey, it looks like the real squeeze will start in 2001 but that is based on logic and since markets move on psychology that is only a factor.
